The Big Allison 10K and Ebenezer Cruise 2K Fun Run

Race #2 of 6 - (This is a new location & course for 2023!).

Register Here

The 10K Race begins at Ebenezer Park with a Water Start, we will be heading into uncharted territory up a winding cove called Big Allison. She is scenic and beautiful. Yet do not dismiss her mischievousness. The open channel to start and finish can be like a washing machine and wind can be sneaky up the channel. All and all this should be a great 5K grind down to a buoy turn and 5K grind back for a water photo finish line for all to see right next to the pier!

The 2K Ebenezer Cruise Fun Run will be a 2-lap course around Goat Island that equals 2K of total distance. The Ebenezer Cruise (fun run) is also a water start and water finish. This is a great course for having fun with friends and/or getting your feet wet in your first race. Spectators and family will be able to see all the action for the 2K run. All are welcome and encouraged to sign up with your family and kids!

All Goat Boater Races are SUP only event. There will be no other kayaks, OC's or other crafts to dodge.

Ebenezer Park is a beautifully renovated new park on Lake Wylie with a great beach area as well. This is also a campground and a great opportunity for those looking to campout on the race site, walking distance from the water. We will be doing lunch at Ebenezer during awards so make sure to pre-order and not miss out.

The Goat Boater Race series is unique in many ways. Most notably our 1-mile social paddle directly after the race for all paddlers and guests.

The Goat Boater, located in Tega Cay, South Carolina was created by Dr. Rob & Megan Cynowa. The series is an extremely unique 6 event summer race series that attracts many local racers and paddlers from the surrounding 5 states and Canada. This series consists of sprints, mid-range and longer distance paddles for all level paddlers. Each race (1 per month) of the series will be different, unique, includes a 1k ish fun run and ALWAYS a 1-mile social paddle afterwards!

Come challenge your skills over the season as we travel between 3 beautiful locations on Lake Wylie, South Carolina. These locations were strategically picked as they have great high up views where spectators and family will be able to view most of the race. Individual participation medals will be given each race, podium finishers for all categories, cash prizes for top 3 male and female riders and series awards will be given at the end of the season to those who have the most cumulative points.

Testimonial: "Goat boater race series was an excellent opportunity to improve in every way. Mixing with the other boaters has enhanced my knowledge of SUP and I’ve made some good friends that I would not otherwise have had the chance to. I applaud Megan and her helpers who have spent many hours planning and holding this series. Look forward to 2022"

The best of up to 4 of the 6 races will go towards season standings. https://canadianpaddleleague.ca/club-races/goat-boater-series/ Those who complete 4 of the 6 races will be rewarded. We have some monster prizes lined up for our season winners for both male and female categories.
