The Sprint Classic 250M (Heats)- Race #1 of 5

The 250M sprint will include 1 buoy turn (down and back) standing water start, water finish. ISA world championships ran this format in 2022 and we copied it in 2023! You will have 2 buoys set evenly at the turn and it is up to you what buoy you decide to turn around, going either left or right, then sprint back to the finish. We feel this format adds a bit of strategy into your decision-making process and still gives equal turning capabilities for your favored side!

Racers will progress through 2-3 heats throughout the morning.

$600 cash purse for top 3 male and female paddlers of this race!

Early Goat Pricing Happening Now! Save $15 on each race! Early goat pricing for this race ends March 1st.

For those new to SUP or SUP sprinting, there will be a fun run sprint! This will be one or two heats. This is a great way to get your feet wet and enjoy an awesome morning of racing with individuals who are out there to have fun too!

The Tega Cay Beach and Swim Center offers great views for you and your family to watch the race and enjoy some beautiful views of Lake Wylie. The Goat Boater Race series is unique in many ways, most notably our 1-mile social paddle directly after the race for all paddlers and guests.

All Around and Race Board Rentals available.

Please plan to join us after at Model A Brewing for lunch and friendship!

Clinics/Demos & Comradery for all, Saturday afternoon.

All Goat Boater Races are SUP only events. There will be no kayaks, OC's or other crafts to dodge.

The Goat Boater SUP Race Series:

The Goat Boater, located in Tega Cay, South Carolina was created by Dr. Rob & Megan Cynowa. The series is an extremely unique 5 event summer race series that attracts many Southeast U.S. paddlers, national and international paddlers alike. This series consists of sprints, mid-range and longer distance paddles for all level paddlers. Each race of the series will be different, unique, includes a 1k fun run and ALWAYS a 1-mile social paddle afterwards!

Come challenge your skills over the season as we travel between 2 beautiful locations on Lake Wylie, South Carolina. These locations were strategically picked as they have great high up views where spectators and family will be able to view most of the race. Individual participation medals will be given each race, podium finishers for all categories, cash prizes for top 3 male and female paddlers. Series awards will be given at the end of the season to those who have the most cumulative points.
